We believe that community is broad and defined by each individual.
At the heart of Camphill MK are the people who receive support.
Their community and ours may also include staff and volunteers, family, friends and wider connections in our locality and beyond.
Our goal is to provide a strong supportive environment where residents can gain self-confidence and personal independence within a safe and enabling environment.
We wish to support people in leading as independent a life as is possible and that they choose, within the context of the wider community.
At Camphill MK Communities, therefore, we strive to create a community that is both supportive and empowering to all.

We all come from different backgrounds and cultures, with varying experiences of life, different skills and capacities and varied interests.
What brings us together as human beings and builds any community is celebrating and sharing life together.
We celebrate big things and small, from birthdays to international and local festivals.
Always with a view to inclusion and accessibility in how we celebrate together.
Some of our people may have a specific faith or religion, others may not, and we aim to include all in our celebrations.
The rhythm and routine of life are mirrored in our calendar of celebrations throughout the year.
Most important is meeting each other as equals, recognising what we share is far more significant than what might initially seem to identify us separately.

We believe that, through the dignity of work and meaningful activity, residents and other beneficiaries can enjoy both inspiration and fulfilment.
We believe in producing high-quality goods and services that represent both our professionalism and our diversity.
We share that through our public-facing workshops and activity such as our shop, cafe, theatre and horticulture settings.
Within our care and support activities, we aim to support our people to demonstrate what they can achieve rather than focussing solely on limitations that may traditionally be seen in disability.
Having any disability should not define a person, what sets us all are our skills and capacities, and we are all on a journey of learning and development to improve ourselves.
We are proud of the effect our work, routine and culture has upon our people, and we share in their individual pride and success as a community.
