In our Newsletter Workshop we are the journalists and reporters of our community. The monthly newsletter features community events and gatherings, important events outside Camphill, talented residents with their artistic creations and anything that happens in the Chrysalis Theatre. The stories are accompanied by Alex’s own photos which are published on his blog, our community blog and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Read all about what we get up to during the workshop and download the latest CMKC Newsletter Issue 53!
We love about recycling here at CMKC, so we decided to host a Recycling Contest! Inspired by a training session given by Louise O. from Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park & Environmental Services, we’ve been recycling more than ever. As part of our drive to improve our recycling standards, the contest was held this week, and we’re thrilled by the reaction & participation from all residents, volunteers and staff. It’s so impressive to see how much we have learned about recycling and it’s great that people are actively using what they learned in everyday life. Congratulations to Whitethorn for winning …
To all our supporters, thank you for everything you have done this year to support people with learning disabilities. Whether you’re donating time or money, eating in our Cafe or visiting our Shop, attending our Craft Fairs or just popping in and taking the time to say hello. You are making a huge difference, and your generosity and kindness are always appreciated. Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This week we’ve been getting very festive but we’ve also not forgotten to keep ourselves fit. Thanks to Natalie, who ran a Fit 4 All taster session, the whole community – including residents, staff & volunteers got involved. It was so much fun!
They did it! Congratulations to Miguel and his cycle team, the Stellar Stars, for cycling over 500 miles in just 3 days, the 2018 Extra Mile Auvergne Cycle Challenge. They need your help in hitting their £4k target to help purchase a rickshaw electric assisted bike so that we and the wider community can cycle again! They are looking for any support, so please give generously via Virgin Money Giving. For more information on the challenge check out Extra-Mile. Thank you!
