Camphill MK Communities are pleased to announce that we will be hosting their Craft, Art & Food Fair on Saturday 9th November!
Our Winter Artisan Food & Craft Fair will be hosted inside our brilliant The Chrysalis Theatre MK on Saturday 10th November! In support of a vibrant community providing a meaningful working life for adults with learning disabilities, we will be joined by 30+ local crafters, makers & artisans. Alongside our very own artisan baked goods, preserves, honey, cordials and vinegars, traditional textiles, ceramics & unique one-off art & craft items, expect original photography, soaps, craft gin, upcycled wood, jewellery, curry pastes, chutneys, plus local art demos by MKSA, Christmas gifts and home and fashion accessories. Please join us at this truly local (and free) indoor event! Find our more about the stallholders on our Event Page on Facebook.
We’re teaming up with MK Community Foundation for their Charity Car Raffle to sell lots of raffle tickets to raise funds for local charities & communities. One lucky person will win themselves a Volkswagen Up! and a whole host of organisations will receive grants for their local causes. We are selling tickets for just £1 in our Cafe & Shop, and will also be raising awareness at our Winter Fair on 10th November. Over the past 30 years, groups just like us have raised over £1 million for local activities and services. It’s such a great community cause, so please dig deep!
As part of our Theatre Workshop, we have created our very own performance of Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat. A project just for our community where performance and creativity are very important to what we do here at Camphill MK Communities. While we’ve been busy rehearsing singing and acting, the team in the Art & Craft Workshop have been designing his dream coat. In just two months, and with the contribution of all residents and co-workers adding a stitch or design, Joseph will grace the stage with a truly unique dream coat! Here is a sneak peek of the hand-crafted garment and stay tuned for more on the performance!
